What Graphic Design is to me:

To me, Graphic Design is expressive and full of possibilities. Having a background in Fine Art, I always incorporate some aspects of that field into my designs. Whether it be a poster or even with a business card, I always try to make it both eye catching and compliments the overall design. With that being said, I also believe that Graphic Design is also very adaptive. As time moves forward, many things change and improve for the better. As designers, I believe that we need to push our boundaries, experiment with our designs and become more versatile.

Theme Projects:

For my Themed Projects, I was inspired by the issue of Mental Health Awareness and how important that it. Having friends who deal with these issues as well as dealing with them myself, I felt that it was important to focus my projects on this issue. I wanted to make sure to create designs that would present the issue in a more "digestible and memorable. Let me explain this further with one of my projects.

Dealing with Your Demons "Book Cover and Design":

This Project is Part 1 of my 3 Channels. This book cover is for a book that is meant to help those with mental health struggles feel secure and reassure that it is okay to feel the way that they do. It also teaches them some positive coping mechanisms to prevent them from hurting themselves and others. The book is presented in a way that is digestible to the reader as well as enjoyable. It is made to be a good experience and for them to feel relaxed and calm by viewing these patterns with the words along with them. Some of the patterns also represent some the advice/reassurance provided in the book. Also the reason why the majority of the patterns are ghosts or something similar is because normally, mental health is seen as a "grim" topic, and I wanted to make this fun and friendly appearance showing the readers that mental health awareness is not something that we should not be afraid of.
